ABU DHABI, 11th September, 2022 (WAM) — His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has discussed with Aleksandar Vucic, President of the Republic of Serbia, the various areas of cooperation between their countries and prospects for its strengthening to advance their mutual interests, in addition to a number of regional and global issues and developments of common concern.

The talks took place during a meeting between the two leaders at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi.

The President of the United Arab Emirates welcomed President Vucic and his accompanying delegation, and expressed the hope that the visit will contribute to strengthening their bilateral relations and expanding their cooperation through new horizons to meet the aspirations of their countries and peoples for greater progress and prosperity.

The two leaders explored UAE-Serbia cooperation in the areas of investment, economy and trade, as well as in science, technology, food security, agriculture, renewable energy, space , among others.

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed said relations between the UAE and Serbia are strong and continue to grow, highlighting their cooperation, which covers several vital sectors and will see the signing of 10 cooperation agreements today.

For his part, President Vucic expressed his joy at meeting His Highness Sheikh Mohamed, as well as his appreciation for the great show of hospitality reserved for him.

He went on to highlight the support the UAE offers to his country, especially during the hardships, emphasizing his country’s eagerness to strengthen their relationship by taking advantage of the many opportunities available.

Both sides welcomed the comprehensive strategic partnership, which the UAE and Serbia announced today, underscoring its importance in enhancing their cooperation and investment in the various opportunities the two countries offer in various fields. , especially as they would contribute to advancing their interests and fulfilling aspirations. of their peoples to pursue their development and prosperity.
